DuctSox products receive UL certification
DuctSox received UL certification for DuraTex, TufTex, Verona, Sedona-XM, Microbe X and Rx fabric air dispersion systems.
- (1888PressRelease) April 20, 2015 - DuctSox fabric air dispersion system will enable customers to build faster and easier with flexible and simple fabric based system. DuctSox product is also fire-retardant. DuctSox have received UL certification for fire retardancy based on ASTM E 84 Standard Test Method for Surface Burning Characteristics of Building Materials.
This test method measures the relative rate at which flame will spread and smoke develops as the material being tested burns. This test method is often referred to as the 'Tunnel Test' or a 'Steiner Tunnel Test'. In order to receive this certification, products need to be designed and built in a way that it must have a flame-spread index of not over 25 and a smoke-developed index of not over 50.
DuctSox products have been tested, passed and certified to meet the flame spread and smoke development standards described above by the following independent laboratories as well:

* BS (British)
* DIN (Germany)
* AS (Australia)
* NZS (New Zealand)

* Sedona-XM: Porous, anti-microbial treated, polyester, ideal for clean rooms, food manufacturing facilities, critical environments or any other application needing insulated duct
* TufTex: Non-porous, non-permeable, polyester, ideal for any application needing non-insulated duct
Verona: Porous, medium weight, polyester, ideal for any application needing insulated duct and doesn't anti-microbial treatment
* DuraTex: DuctSox starting line, non-porous, non-permeable, polyester, medium weight, works similar to non-insulated duct and applicable to any applications or designs
