- (1888PressRelease) July 31, 2010 - The Layan residential community in Dubailand has achieved significant milestones in the delivery of services and facilities, its developer has said. Dubai Properties Group (DPG), a member of Dubai Holding, confirmed that recently launched community facilities at the Mediterranean-themed development include a prayer room, an extensive children's play area, a nursery, a swimming pool, and a basketball court.
The company also announced that the development now features exclusive retail space ranging from 500 to 1,500 sq ft units. DPG said Layan aimed to create a family-focused, sustainable community offering extensive services and facilities within a residential neighbourhood.
The development features a range of ready-to-lease villas and apartments with annual leases starting at AED 64,000 for two-bedroom villas, in one of the most prestigious developments for luxury apartments in Dubai.
Meanwhile, the recent Mastercard Worldwide Consumer Confidence Survey concluded that consumers in the UAE are much more confident in their spending habits than they were this time last year.
Dubai Contracting Company (DCC) yesterday (July 6th) confirmed the handovers of three new commercial towers that were completed in the first quarter of 2010. O14, a 22-storey office tower in Business Bay, the Single Business Tower on Shaikh Zayed Road and Code, a 14-storey office tower in Barsha, have now all been handed over to tenants, Gulf News reported.
Many tenants are reported to be in the final stages of their office fit-outs, while others have already moved in. DCC referred to the quality of the projects, with O14 boasting an award-winning design by architects Reiser+Umemoto of New York. The tower is built with its structure on the outside in order to offer "a new concept of space", Gulf News said.
