French Moroccan Designer Nora Sahraoui presents her collection on the Red Carpet and at High Profile Celebrity Events.
- (1888PressRelease) March 07, 2014 - Designer Nora Sahraoui presented her latest collection of designs created for Red Carpets and Galas at events associated 86th Annual Oscars weekend. Sahraoui, based in Dubai, was in Los Angeles presenting the collection from her Xela Fashion collection at events targeting movie stars, celebrities and their stylists.
"When one thinks of glamour, style and fame, they automatically think of Hollywood and starlets from the movie industry. I wanted to use this backdrop to present my latest collection of elegant dresses worthy of the Red Carpet or the next gala that my customers will attend. I created a new line of dresses each with an inspiration and detail that make it Xela. This collection is inspired by tinsel town with sequins that sparkle as bright as the starlets that wear them."
Xela Fashion was the marquis fashion brand at the GBK Oscars Celebrity Lounge at the five star L'Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills. The GBK luxury lifestyle gift lounge spoiled guests with luxury gift bags and beauty services during the two-day event. Xela Fashion dresses were gifted to A-list celebrities Alfre Woodard, Alyssa Milano, Tyra Banks Roomer Willis, MTV's Rocsi Diaz, Penny Marshall, and Holly Robinson Pete among others who all loved the dresses and will be wearing them at an upcoming event.
Sahraoui went on to describe a few of her favorite pieces in the collection. "We have the Mayisha made of black velvet to accentuate the woman's shape which flutes at the knee with gold embroidery detail. I created the Bon Vivant dress with twinkling Oscars golden sequins, a rich purple chiffon top accented with a purple belt with gold Arabic letters. And no collection of mine could be complete without my signature piece, the Cote Azur Caftan made of black chiffon, gold sequin beading and slinky gold internal dress."
A special moment occurred when Sahraoui met celebrity fashion guru Miss J of America's Next Top Model who commented on the Red Carpet Collection: "This collection is special and unique, I love the mix of the French silhouettes and the Arabic touches…these dresses are for the Diva." He then went on to give Sahraoui a special lesson in how to strut on the catwalk. Tyra Banks of America's Next Top Model also received a special robe from the collection
Rocsi Diaz of MTV was captivated with the fuchsia colored caftan. "I have several events coming up that I would love to wear this on the Red Carpet". Kelly Scott of "12 Years a Slave" received a full length burgundy robe with gold sequins and is looking forward to wearing at her next special outing. Holly Robinson Pete who loved the Cote Azure Caftan in Black received one which she will be wearing at her next charity event red carpet.
Sahraoui also met boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard who gave her a few boxing tip and then shared information about his Sugar Ray Leonard Foundation which raises funds to fight diabetes. Sahraoui is donating a gown for his foundation's fundraising gala in May.
In addition to celebrities, press from around the world attended to see what the celeb are being gifted to share with their audience. Antonella Michelena of Aztec TV received the Zeta dress from the collection and wore it on the red carpet for her pre Oscars coverage .
