Golden Goblin Interactive, an independent game studio, is excited to announce the Kickstarter campaign for Dragonic Overlords, a classically inspired fantasy role-playing game that brings together the best elements of beloved 80s and 90s RPGs. With turn-based combat, full character customization, and a massive open world, Dragonic Overlords is set to offer players a rich, nostalgic yet fresh RPG experience.
A Return to Classic RPG Roots
Inspired by legendary titles like Ultima, Baldur’s Gate, and Temple of Elemental Evil, Dragonic Overlords takes players on an epic journey through a vast world brimming with exploration, tactical combat, and deep storylines. Designed by a lifelong fan of computer role-playing games, the game emphasizes the freedom to explore, interact with hundreds of fully voiced NPCs, and take on quests that feel personal and immersive.
“Dragonic Overlords is my love letter to the RPGs I grew up playing,” says the game’s developer, who has spent over three years bringing this project to life. “It’s my goal to provide players with the same thrill of exploration and discovery that I felt during the golden age of RPGs.”

Crowdfunding to Complete the Dream
With much of the game’s core features already in place, the Kickstarter campaign seeks to raise funds to complete additional content, including art assets, animations, and NPC dialogue sequences. The campaign will also support the creation of a professional trailer and final touches before the game’s anticipated early access release in late 2024, followed by a full release in early 2025.
Backers of the campaign will gain exclusive access to demo versions, early in-game content, and the chance to have a lasting impact on the game by helping choose certain design elements.
