- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) June 04, 2013 - Dr. Xiaohong He, founding chair of the International Business Department at the School of Business, Quinnipiac University, will speak at Golden Networking's China Leaders Forum 2013, , "Will the Chinese Dream Become Long-term Investors' Dream or Nightmare?", October 1st, New York City, conference that will examine the political and economic challenges facing China nowadays and the long-term opportunities that will be created in the world's largest economy by 2016.
Dr. He has been teaching for more than 20 years at Quinnipiac University. She received her Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Dallas in International Management Studies. She also holds an M.S. in Finance and an M.A. in International Business. Her undergraduate degree is in Mechanical Engineering from China. Prior to coming to the US, Dr. He worked as a research engineer for the National Academy of Agricultural Mechanization of Sciences in China for eight years. She also worked as a business consultant and executive in the transportation sector in the US before she joined the academia. Dr. He teaches international business, global entrepreneurship, and international finance. She has also taken students to Nicaragua on a microfinance mission.
Dr. He has published many papers in refereed journals and several books in both English and Chinese. A widely travelled person, Dr. He conducts research on multinational corporations, international monetary system, global entrepreneurship, and globalization. Her most recent travels, as part of her research on entrepreneurship development in emerging markets, took her to China, India and Turkey. Dr. He is a recipient of the prestigious Excellence in Teaching Award at Quinnipiac University. Dr. He also received several international awards on research excellence and grants for conducting international business research. She is active in the academic community and is currently serving as the Treasurer of the Academy of International Business-US Northeast Chapter.
