Dr. Steve Meldon Receives Prestigious Award From University of Oklahoma
Steve Meldon, MD has received the prestigious Clinical Faculty Teacher of the Year Award for the University of Oklahoma EM Residency Program. This is the second time Steve Meldon has been awarded a Clinical teaching award during his tenure with Emergency Medicine Physicians.

The prestigious award was recently presented to Dr. Meldon by his colleagues; in attendance was no less than the legendary Peter Rosen. This is the second time Steve Meldon has been awarded a Clinical teaching award during his tenure with Emergency Medicine Physicians; a remarkable achievement by any standard.

Dr Meldon's prestigious career spans many facets of Emergency Medicine with distinction in Geriatric EM. He is a nationally recognized expert in the field of Geriatric Emergency care and has authored numerous papers and textbook chapters.
Dr Meldon's career has taken him to practice medicine throughout the states and internationally to Japan. Dr Meldon was educated at Wright State University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received his doctorate in medicine from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed a General Surgery Internship at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego and served as Assistant Head of the Emergency Medicine Department at the United States Naval Hospital Okinawa. His residency in Emergency Medicine was completed at the University of Wisconsin. He is a tenured Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Case Western Reserve University. Dr Meldon served as an oral board examiner with ABEM for four years.
