About Dr. Somdutt Prasad
Dr Somdutt Prasad is currently a consultant ophthalmologist and retinal specialist at B.B. Eye Foundation, AMRI and i4vision. He is adept at the full range of medical and surgical retinal procedures from diagnosis to treatment.
Dr Prasad has an extensive experience in vitrectomy surgeries and before settling in India, he as was treating nearly 1000 patients in the UK each year suffering from retinal conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, venous occlusions and other conditions of the retina.
Dr Prasad is also experienced in the use of advanced technology IOLs including multifocal, accommodative and toric lenses. Over 90% patients who have had this procedure have been functionally spectacle independent after cataract surgery or clear lens exchange done by him.
