She has a history of success in strengthening the financial and operational performance of non-profit organizations and in advancing their missions.
Dr. Coppola served as the Chief Executive Officer of Program Reach, Inc. , a not-for-profit that gives youth the opportunity to lead better lives. Coppola joined the organization in 2005 as the director of curriculum and served in this position until 2008, at which time she became the executive director. Demonstrating reliable leadership prowess, in 2012, Dr. Coppola proudly assumed her position as the nonprofit's CEO. Through her consulting work, Dr. Coppola effectively uses her experience to assist other not-for-profit organizations achieve greater impact by improving their leadership, governance and management.
During her time with Program Reach, Inc., she was responsible for leading the development and execution of the organization's long term strategy and was ultimately responsible for all day-to-day management decisions. Dr. Coppola demonstrated that she is effective at managing and maneuvering through change, being adaptable to new situations, and handling unexpected demands with ease. She is also accustomed to speaking at press conferences and appearing on radio and television. In addition to her work with Program Reach, Dr. Coppola is a widely sought-after speaker in the fields of sexual health education and youth development, and consultant in the non-profit industry. She has spoken to audiences of all sizes in the U.S. and abroad.
Dr. Coppola took over as CEO of Program Reach in 2008, at a time when the organization was restructuring. As a result, the organization was in the unenviable position of having a significant outstanding debt, and having lost a substantial portion of its private funding sources. As a result of her hard work throughout the next eight years, Program Reach was transformed into a well-respected, nationally-recognized research organization with sound financial standing, a track record in exceeding benchmarks, and consistent funding, despite a politically hostile climate.

In addition to her undergraduate and doctoral studies Dr. Coppola holds a graduate certificate in Non-Profit Governance from Georgetown University. In 2013, Dr. Coppola was honored as a Woman of Outstanding Leadership by the International Women's Leadership Association. Prior to that, she received a Certificate of Distinguished Service from Westchester County, and she was presented with a Woman of the Year - Mott-Stanton-Anthony Award from the Westchester Women's Equality Day Committee. Dr. Coppola finds a strong sense of inspiration and accomplishment from having raised her own two adult children.
As a result of her extensive experience and strong work ethic, Dr. Coppola is effective at managing and maneuvering through change.
