Dr. Mohammed Al Sulaiman wins bronze medal for CEO of the Year category for the insurance sector

This accolade forms one of 11 awards handed by the Silicon Valley Organization to extraordinary leaders and managers who make remarkable accomplishments in their fields. It is also awarded to professionals who develop noteworthy short- and long-term strategies for their companies, and also recognizes organizations and individuals driving industry standards forward throughout various sectors.
Dr. Al Suliman received the award during the 8th edition of the SVUS awards ceremony, where he was honored for his leadership in achieving a comprehensive strategic transformation and accomplishing a digitalization rate of 95% across all Najm’s services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Najm had played a key role in implementing the Saudi Arabian government’s directives during the pandemic through adopting the highest precautionary measures aimed at easing the repercussions of the outbreak. It swiftly augmented its digital capabilities and offered its services via digital channels by utilizing an advanced digital infrastructure capable of accommodating advanced big data systems.
Moreover, to maintain social distancing measures, Najm adopted automation throughout its offerings and services by implementing remote management under the diligent supervision of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority and the General Department of Traffic.
On this occasion, Dr. Al Suliman expressed his gratitude for receiving the prize, stating: “I am honored to be selected as the recipient of this prestigious award, which reiterates the success achieved by our strategy shaped in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.” He added: “This success would not have been possible without the joint efforts of Najm’s team which responsibly adopted the highest preventative measures during the novel coronavirus outbreak, and implemented the necessary measures needed to navigate through this unprecedented crisis.”
This recognition sheds light on the utmost professionalism and expertise enjoyed by Dr. Al Suliman, who previously led several development projects in telecommunications, investment, and finance sectors in the Kingdom and beyond. He was an active participant in renewing and developing numerous work strategies, and had held a number of leadership positions, most notably the Vice President of Corporate Development at the Saudi Telecom Company, Vice President of Operations and Support Services at the Arabian Investment Company, Business Development Director at Jadwa Investment, President of Investment Systems at the Arab National Bank, and other esteemed positions in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and USA.
Dr. Al Suliman holds a PhD in Strategy and IT Management from Peter Drucker Business School, a Master’s Degree in Information Systems and Technology from Claremont Graduate University in the US, and a Bachelor of Science in Management of Information Systems (MIS) from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
