(1888PressRelease) April 15, 2017 - WASHINGTON D.C., - Speaker, consultant, facilitator and health care expert Josef Reum, PhD, MPA will present "New Approaches to Neuroscience and Leadership" at the Interagency Institute for Federal Health Care Executives on April 24, 2017. The session, held at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD, is part of a two-week program bringing together global leaders in health care delivery from the United States Air Force, Army, Navy, Department of Veterans Affairs and Public Health Service on the challenges and opportunities facing the nation's health care system.
Described as a "champion of change," Dr. Reum is a respected expert in facilitating sustainable organizational change who has worked in public service, higher education, not-for-profit and the private sector throughout his 30-plus year career. With the nation's health policy at a crisis point, Dr. Reum will focus on developing leadership in a time of uncertainty. Specifically, he will explore how the extraordinary changes and unprecedented actions affecting the health care system require innovative problem solving for the challenges ahead.

Dr. Reum is the Principal Consultant at Josef Reum & Associates. Previously, he served as a Senior Associate Dean at George Washington University's Milken Institute School of Public Health for 14 years and was a faculty member at the University for 22 years. Prior to joining the GWU faculty, he served as Executive Vice President at the American Health Quality Association, was the Founding Deputy Director of the Local Funding Partners Program for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and held leadership roles with state agencies in Indiana, Massachusetts and Alaska. Dr. Reum received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Psychology from The Catholic University of America, a Masters of Public Administration from the John F. Kenney School of Government at Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy, Organizational Leadership, Feminist Theory and Change Management from the School of Business and Public Management at George Washington University. He received a Fulbright Fellowship in 2014.
