Dr. Hector Giancarlo Chosen by NJBIZ as Executive of the Year Finalist
New Jersey's Top Business Leaders Will Be Announced in December.
- Bergen-Passaic, NJ (1888PressRelease) November 07, 2012 - Dr. Hector Giancarlo, president and founder of The Allendale Community for Mature Living, has been named a finalist in the Executive of the Year category in the 2012 NJBIZ Business of the Year awards program. The award program, produced by NJBIZ, New Jersey's premiere business news publication, is presented by EisnerAmper, LLP and sponsored by CIGNA and Sun National Bank. Award recipients will be announced on December 3, 2012 at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, NJ.

The awards recognize the state's most dynamic businesses and business leaders who share a commitment to professional excellence, business growth, and the community.
To choose this year's finalists, the judges looked at a number of criteria including career accomplishments, leadership skills, and community outreach. Finalists were selected in six categories: Business of the Year (1-50 Employees), Business of the Year (51-100 Employees), Business of the Year (100+ Employees), Corporate Citizen of the Year, Emerging Business of the Year and Executive of the Year.
Finalists and winners were chosen by an independent panel of judges including: John S. Buzza, Monmouth University; Gerald Creighton, Sr., MBA, NJIT Enterprise Development Center; John Farrell, Rider University; Donald N. Lombardi, Ph.D., Stevens Healthcare Educational Partnerships Stevens Institute of Technology; and Dr. Kathleen Reddick, College of St. Elizabeth.
The Allendale Community for Mature Living was founded by Dr. Giancarlo in 1967, and has developed in stages into a 12-acre senior housing campus. Today, it stands as a physician-owned and operated senior community where older adults can "age in place," transitioning from independent living to assisted living and long-term care. It consists of The Atrium Assisted Living; Carlton Court, a memory care neighborhood; The Allendale Nursing Home; and the Rehabilitation Center at The Allendale Community, for subacute care. Additional services include a Short-Term Stay Program and the Senior Social Club adult day program.
