To a question regarding what beauty means to him, Dr. Palmer said that he does not believe that beauty, in the human form is ethereal, mystic, indefinable or "in the eye of the beholder. He said his motive for writing the book "What's Your Number-The Palmer Beauty Code" was to shatter the "beauty myth".
Dr. Palmer further said that he considers himself modern day soft tissue sculptor because a good surgeon has to incorporate the art of beauty with the science of anatomy and physiology.
