Dr. Clyde Lettsome Continues His Work with the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering Exam Writing and Development Committee
Dr. Clyde Lettsome and the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering Exam Writing and Development Committee will continue their work developing the FE Exam this April.
- Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) March 08, 2019 - This spring, Dr. Clyde A. Lettsome and other members of the National Council of Examiners for Engineers (NCEES) Fundamentals of Engineering Exam Writing and Development Committees will continue their work designing and refining the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam based on the new specifications. The FE exam is the first step in becoming a licensed engineer. The NCEES provides the specifications and guidelines for the FE exam taker as well as the institutions that use the FE exam as a part of their accreditation assessment plan. Dr. Lettsome, along with other respected professional engineers from a number of different engineering disciplines will write questions that will be used on future NCEES FE exams. The committee will reconvene in April to continue the work that they began in January of this year.
“Designing new questions based on the new specifications is important”, said Dr. Lettsome. “It is important that the exam continues to reflect the changes in technology that practicing engineers and educators believe engineering graduates should know upon completing an undergraduate degree.”
