Downtown Clearwater Block Party Celebrates Community Collaboration, Anniversary of Humanitarian Centers
In Clearwater, Florida, the Downtown, family-friendly block party is back!
- Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, FL (1888PressRelease) July 06, 2024 - To celebrate community collaboration, Pinellas County residents and their families are invited to Clearwater’s Cleveland Street on 20 July 2024 for a family-friendly Block Party. Sponsored by the Church of Scientology, the event will also honor the anniversary of the opening of centers dedicated to the Church-supported humanitarian programs. There is no cost to attend.
The festivities will take place from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on the 500 block of Cleveland Street and in the humanitarian centers along North Fort Harrison Avenue.
Activities include live entertainment, a petting zoo, balloon art, carnival games and food stations featuring cuisine from downtown restaurants. A scavenger hunt will take attendees through the humanitarian centers along North Fort Harrison Avenue. The evening will be capped by raffle prize drawings from the stage on Cleveland Street.
“It was nine years ago that the Church of Scientology sponsored these humanitarian and information centers,” said Lisa Mansell from the Public Affairs Department for the Church of Scientology. “Each center addresses a specific area of societal concern including human rights, morals, drug abuse, criminal reform.”
Community nonprofits will also be out, sharing their solutions to a variety of community issues. These non-profits include Shihan School of Survival, Hard2Guard, the American Vitiligo Foundation and Clearwater Fire Fighters Association Charitable Foundation.
