Berkshire, North Hampshire & Surrey estate agents Romans were recently awarded the title Overall Best UK Estate Agency of the Year for the second year running.
(1888PressRelease) January 28, 2013 - The awards are judged by a panel of industry experts, in association with The Times & The Sunday Times. It marks a historic moment for the team, who have now set an industry precedent by winning this title for two consecutive years. In addition the team were delighted to win gold awards for Best Training and Development 2012 and Best Marketing 2012.
The selection process for the awards takes place annually over a four month period, involving senior figures from the property industry. Overseen by Christopher Harmer, the UK's Property Ombudsman these awards are regarded as some of the most respected, authoritative awards within the UK property sector.
The Judges had particular praise for the company's commitment to improvement and customer service, commenting that other companies "could learn so much about professionalism and all-round excellence" from Romans' approach. Their report also commended the commitment to personal contact with clients, including their dedicated call centre which is "open long hours so customers are confident they can always reach someone". It was noted that all customer care was well supported by both quality and marketing divisions. According to Vincent Courtney, Managing Director for Residential Sales, the awards are a welcome acknowledgement of the company's ethos:

Judges highlighted the staff culture developed over their 25 years in business as one of the reasons for Romans' continued success. The team were praised for their ceaseless commitment to on-going training, rewards and a responsive working environment. This has produced a staff team of highly "motivated" and "contented" professionals, which results in "loyal, satisfied customers". The judges commented that innovation and improvement can be difficult to sustain so the in house developments since the company won the award the previous year were impressive.
