DOT Specialist to Present at 2010 NPSA Conference & Trade Show
The Eighth Annual NPSA Conference and Tradeshow will feature David Medeiros of the Rhode Island State Police. He will offer insights into DOT compliance issues.
- (1888PressRelease) September 07, 2010 - Kansas City, MO - The National Portable Storage Association's 2010 Conference & Trade Show will tackle DOT compliance issues when industry leaders convene at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotel on Nov. 7-9.
Although the fall conference puts a strong emphasis using containers as housing, seminar topics will also include U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance. David Medeiros of the Rhode Island State Police will offer attendees a lecture on DOT compliance as it relates to the trucking industry. There are many issues portable storage vendors need to consider, such as cross-border trucking, trucking safety through work zones, and inspections.
"By nature of transporting portable storage containers across the state and across the country - and sometimes into Canada - the industry has to deal with government agencies like the Department of Transportation," said John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director the NPSA. "Mr. Medeiros will offer strategic insights into making sure your operation is in compliance with local and federal regulations."
The NPSA's 2010 Conference & Trade show kicks off on Nov. 7 with an early bird reception. On Sunday, attendees will have the option to attend a golf outing or a tennis tournament. The trade show opening reception begins later that afternoon. On Monday, the pre-show continental breakfast gathers together early networkers before the opening ceremonies and keynote address on the state of the industry. Workshops on a variety of topics will continue throughout he event.
