Dom Fightgear has released the long anticipated DMX V
When we began this company, our goal was to design and build the perfect gi. All we really wanted was for the gi to feel like pajamas--which we did with the DMX I.
- Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) March 03, 2012 - Then we got a lot of requests for an ultra-light gi. That was a little harder to build, because the fabric has to weigh 1/3 of the weight of a normal gi and still be just as strong. We did it with the DMX II, Competition Gi. It weighs in at 2.3lbs. and people still look surprised when the pick one up. Sick light.
There was still a group of Gi Buyers looking for something in between what we had created. The demand was growing daily--man it's been fun to watch our site traffic go up. People were becoming serious Dom fans, and we did not want to disappoint. People expect our stuff to be better. It's our philosophy--courtesy of BG, to be FOR the people. It's who we are. Anyway, we got input from several of our key fighters and some of our key customers--Caio, Rosie (Justin), Mark, Bryan, Kirk, Jarod, Stack, Rene, Drew and a few more. Details they wanted for their idea of a perfect gi. Some of the stuff we offered was great, some stuff they didn't care for. We were careful who we listened to, and careful what we added and took away. We eliminated all patches, and used embroidery. We added a nylon high strength tie chord, made some size changes--added a slew of new sizes for kids--the pants are over the top awesome and have gotten a lot of comments on FB, etc.
The result is the DOM DMX V. It is the finest Gi we have made to date, has already broken sales records, and will change the whole game--just a fraction. You need to see it and pick one or two up for the upcoming Pans. www.domgear.com
