DJ Goonie is no different as he hosts the 1st Annual Back 2 School Weekend on September 4 & 5, a weekend of events taking place during the first week of September benefiting impoverished families in CA. Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) July 21, 2010 - This weekend was started as a way to assist lower income families in the community with gathering school supplies for their children and will consist of free and low-cost events including a celebrity basketball game and concert. "With entertainment being a very influential part in the lives of our younger generations, I have decided to call in help from various entertainers to come out and be a part of this opportunity and promoting the importance of education. Through this weekend of events, I hope to be able to provide a large number of families with school supplies to assist their children throughout the school year," says DJ Goonie.

Having had success with his previous Toyz-N-Da-Hood Toy Drive and The Hope for Haiti Benefit Concert events, DJ Goonie has created successful ties to the community giving him the opportunity to receive tremendous support and involvement from well-known entertainers.
