Dixie Motor Speedway Unleashes 2011 Events
Dixie unleashed: The return of Dixie's presenting sponsor Draper Auto; Racing schedules which included NASCAR greats with the Mid-West's most exciting traveling series CRA; The return of Outlaw Supers and Winged Sprints; A new public address announcer team; The unveiling of 2011 class supporters; New track videographer and multi-media services; Unveiling of the "Racer Chics" and much, much more.
- Saginaw-Saginaw Township North, MI (1888PressRelease) April 21, 2011 - Checkered Flag Promotion's excited the short track racing community this morning with the release of a series of announcements regarding this season's racing events at Dixie Motor Speedway presented by Draper Auto.
Draper Auto of Saginaw is back for a second season as presenting sponsor of the speedway. Owner Rob Draper stated "Dixie far surpassed our expectations in 2010 and we were eager to renew for the 2011 season." The Bay Road Chevrolet and Toyota dealer has been a strong supporter of local activities in the greater Saginaw Valley community. Track promoter Jeff Parish on Draper Auto, "We have a great marketing partnership with the fine folks at Draper Auto and we have a couple of surprises up our sleeve for 2011 which we think the community is going to really like."
On the track, making their first ever appearance at Michigan's #1 Action Attraction, is the Champion Racing Association. "The CRA is the Midwest's most popular regional racing series and we are very happy to have their two highest profile classes appearing at Dixie by Draper," said Parish. The CRA will be racing at Dixie by Draper twice in the 2011 season. The JEGS/GM Performance Parts All-Star Series arrives on June 17th, while the CRA Super Series arrives on August 19th. Both events will feature names instantly recognizable in NASCAR circles...Kenseth, Elliot, Blaney, Coughlin, plus, special guest: NASCAR Sprint Cup Star Kenny Schrader.
Dixie by Draper is making changes in the announcers booth as well, surprising fans with the return of Chris Fobbe and the addition of Andy Jach. Rumored to be leaving the hallowed Birch Run facility, the very popular Fobbe turned his back to the dirt to get all Jach'ed up for the 2011 racing season at Dixie.
The strong growth exhibited from Dixie by Draper in 2010 led to several new class supporters for the 2011 season. Checkered Flag Promotion partner and Dixie co-promoter Pam Parish announced, "We are pleased to say all eight of our racing classes have title supporters for the 2011 season. We are very happy to welcome back O'Guinn Funeral Homes, Muffler Man, Mike's Auto and the Bridgeport/Birch Run Herald. They are joined by Frankenmuth Brewery, Sharkwater Tropical Liqueur, Great Lakes Helicopter, Jeremiah Weed and Fabiano Brothers as title supporters in 2011. We are proud to bring them into our racing family"
Not stopping there, Dixie Motor Speedway presented by Draper Auto brings back Outlaw Super Late Model racing for three breathtaking shows. Dixie also invites back the wicked fasted winged sprint cars of the Auto Value Super Sprint Series. You'll find these events in May, July, August and September. .
"No other track in Michigan will be bringing in more big names than Dixie by Draper" said the track's marketing manager Patrick McNamara. "Dixie has always set the standard but in 2011 we are raising the bar and we hope to exceed our fan's expectations. We already have the best local racers and the best competition among our weekly regulars, the addition of these traveling series are just frosting on an already great cake." With the heat now turned up to max, Dixie Motor Speedway presented by Draper Auto gets just a little bit hotter with the unveiling of the "Racer Chics". Dixie's new promotional team, the "Racer Chics" will combine one part Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader, with one part Old-School NASCAR Trophy girl, to one part Coyote Ugly fun; to create another eye popping attraction for fans and improving the motorsports entertainment experience at Dixie.
