Dilana Unleashes Beautiful Monster August 10th in Hollywood
Frontrunner from TV's "Rock Star Supernova" and former vocalist for rock band LA Guns is set to release her latest CD titled "Beautiful Monster" during a performance at the Roxy in West Hollywood on August 10th, 2013.

The performance will feature her full band as she showcases all ten tracks from the CD release, performed live in its entirety.
Fans discovered the songwriting skills and vocal power of Dilana when she appeared on CBS channel's "Rock Star Supernova" in 2006. From her performance of Nirvana's "Lithium" on the first episode of the season, all eyes were fixed on her delivery, talents and approach to providing more than just vocals, but the total rock-star package. Dilana earned the respect and attention of the shows judges, including Motley Crue members Tommy Lee and Mick Mars, as well as stellar producer Butch Walker, guitarist Gilby Clark (Guns n' Roses) and then Metallica bass player Jason Newsted. After the season's run on TV, Dilana fronted the band LA Guns for three months before making the decision to focus on her own works.
In 2009 Dilana digitally released a full-length album titled "Inside Out" to International acclaim. Through issues with the label, the album has undergone distribution problems, but offered Dilana a chance to record with artists including Mick Mars (Motley Crue) and Adrian young (No Doubt), ultimately proving her level of songwriting and skill that has earned her reputation as a rock star. In support of her release, Dilana toured the US while opening for acts including Aerosmith, as well as visiting the Troops in Afghanistan and bringing the show to her homeland in South Africa.
Dilana has been awarded a People's Choice Award for Gig of the Year after the 2007 Rockstar Iceland Concert, as well as two Best Actress Awards and a Best Use of Music Award for her lead role and soundtrack recording in the 2010 film "Angel Camouflaged," starring alongside James Brolin and singer/songwriter Patty Smyth. Dilana has also been celebrated for her charity work, supporting the endeavors of charities including Safe Passage and the Lili Claire Foundation.
In 2012, Dilana took to the studio to record ten new tracks, featuring an original sound and style that expresses some of her deepest emotions regarding the events in her life that have affected her both personally, and as a professional musician. The album, titled "Beautiful Monster," was produced, engineered and mixed by Jack Endino at SoundHouse Recording Studio in Seattle, Washington. Endino's roster with SoundHouse has included working with Nirvana, David Byrne, Soundgarden, Dave Matthews and other top artist's recordings. Graphics and original design packaging of the CD have been provided by Internationally renowned artist Glen Wexler, who has designed award winning artwork for album releases by Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Slaughter and Geffen Records to name a few.
The August 10th show at the Roxy Theater in West Hollywood is the official CD release party and performance to announce the "Beautiful Monster" CD and will showcase Dilana on stage with a full band, performing all ten tracks from the CD as well as meet-and-greets and CD signings.
