The Diablo magazine/Diablo Women event raised nearly $7000 for the Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic which serves low-income women with cancer.

Oakland, CA (1888PressRelease) May 13, 2011 - "Embracing the Technology Lifestyle" was the theme of Diablo magazine's annual Diablo Women event celebrating professional women of the East Bay held on April 26, 2011 at The Claremont Hotel Club & Spa in Berkeley, CA.

Presented by Diablo magazine and Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, the evening opened with a networking cocktail reception for some 400 Diablo Women business women and featured a Q&A with keynote speaker Becky Worley of ABC's Good Morning America, who shared her mission to "embrace the technology lifestyle" with attendees. Two performances by Teatro ZinZanni and an exciting fundraising raffle opened and closed the program. Event beneficiary the Charlotte Maxwell Complementary Clinic of Oakland, a state-licensed health clinic providing free alternative medical treatments to low-income women with cancer, received a donation of nearly $7,000 raised by raffle ticket sales. Fundraising partners donated an exciting assortment of 43 raffle items, with Barons Jewelers presenting the Grand Prize.

Each May Diablo recognizes women of the East Bay with featured content and a special advertising section in the issue spotlighting the region's women to watch. An invitation is extended to these participants to attend the Diablo Women event for the opportunity to network and inspire. Diablo Women 2011 event partners were: Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, The Claremont Hotel Club & Spa, Teatro ZinZanni, and Barons Jewelers. Additional sponsors included Wente Vineyards, Effen Vodka, and Glass Coat Photo Booth. Linens were graciously provided by Napa Valley Linens, and flowers by Megan Haney Designs.
