Dexter Industries Sensor Tutorial Released for Increasing the Baud Rate of WiFi Sensor for Lego Mindstorms NXT
Dexter Industries' Releases Software Tutorial That Speeds Wifi Communications on LEGO MINDSTORMS NXT
- (1888PressRelease) November 11, 2011 - Washington, DC - Dexter Industries' new WiFi Sensor for Lego Mindstorms NXT can be used as webserver, to tweet, and to communicate via UDP and TCP communications. Dexter Industries has published a quick tutorial on how to increase the communications speed of the Wifi Sensor for LEGO MINDSTORMS.
Using functions native to the Wifi sensor, the tutorial increases the communication rate of the wifi sensor to almost a full MBPS (mega byte per second). The tutorial demonstrates how to do this quickly and easily with no special programming.
The Wifi sensor from Dexter Industries for LEGO MINDSTORMS is the first commercially available wifi sensor for the LEGO MINDSTORMS robotics system. Dexter Industries released the sensor on November 4th, 2011. The Lego Wifi sensor is specifically made for middle-school and high-school STEM teaching programs. In particular it will have educational applications in high school physics, math, and engineering.
Dexter Industries is a manufacturer of advanced sensors and peripherals for theLEGO Mindstorms NXT system. The company produces a wide range of sensors for education and hobbyists.
