Development Team Expansion and New Technology Partnership Poise RES Software for Accelerated Growth
New development center and strategic partnership signal RES Software commitment to product innovation, quality and faster time to market
- (1888PressRelease) April 27, 2012 - Philadelphia, PA - On the heels of signing a multi-million dollar deal with a Fortune 20 customer, RES Software is continuing its fast-paced global growth in Q2 with three significant advances in the company's development capability. The company, which is experiencing growing demand for its dynamic desktop solutions in 2012, is committed to accelerating its momentum by implementing development expansion plans, establishing new strategic partnerships and continuing its focus on cutting-edge product innovation. Progress in these areas will enable RES Software to maintain its focus on supplying IT leaders with solutions which address the daily challenges they face.
"Delivering the best technology and continuing to innovate are core RES Software values, and the reason behind our recent rapid growth. We've taken several steps to put us in the optimal position to give our customers the solutions they need to face today's complex IT challenges," said Bob Janssen, CTO and Co-founder of RES Software.
Having recently announced a 60 percent Year over Year rate of growth in Europe, RES Software is increasing its development resources by 25 percent. A new Development Center in Bucharest, Romania, will be used to support the continued research and development of technology that enables IT as a Service (ITaaS) and simplifies IT processes. Additionally, this facility will be used to develop technology that supports key alliances, including Citrix and Microsoft. RES Software developers are using the facility to progress the development of integration with Microsoft's latest technology, UE-V.
RES Software is also strengthening its development base through strategic technology partnerships, including Nomadesk, a leading provider of cloud storage, file sharing and synchronization software. The recently announced RES HyperDrive is based on Nomadesk's proven technology and was further developed by RES Software into an end-to-end enterprise solution that can easily be implemented on premises by IT organizations. This collaboration has helped RES Software diversify its range of products aimed at the increasingly mobile, next generation workforce. RES HyperDrive is a secure way to deliver "follow me data" and file-sharing with the enterprise-class security of on-premises technology. Making data available on any device, anywhere, RES HyperDrive empowers IT organizations to better serve today's workforce that demands convenient access to data from personal devices, with a better consumer-like experience.
"Nomadesk's philosophy is perfectly aligned with that of RES Software, which is the desire to deliver simplified IT solutions and great technology for our customers," said Darren Trumeter, CEO of Nomadesk. "RES HyperDrive is an exciting product, a real game-changer for enterprise workers who are on the move but still need to meet data security and regulatory compliance requirements, and we are delighted to have played a role in helping the R & D teams' vision come to fruition."
Finally, RES Labs, a specialized research group based in the Netherlands, is continually evaluating emerging technologies and developing new products to meet the challenges of IT managers. Several of the latest innovations released by RES Software were developed in RES Labs, including RES Baseline Desktop Analyzer, which is an online, Microsoft Windows Azure-based service that allows desktop administrators to quickly gain visibility into their client infrastructure. RES Lab developers are already responsible for several patents held by RES Software and are currently focused on developments that will enable RES Software support for Windows 8.
"RES Software is expanding rapidly, making it an exciting time for everyone involved. Our range of products is stimulating the demand from customers for solutions that manage, secure and automate their IT environments," said Janssen. "The Bucharest Development Center increases our presence in Eastern Europe, while the insightful technology and new concepts being developed by RES Labs are ahead of our time. To provide even more value to our customers, we will continue working with top-tier technology partners to create new possibilities for enterprise software solutions that will improve how IT services are provided to end users, the IT consumers."
