Designer Odunayo Ade to Show Highly Anticipated Collection During New York Fashion Week
Designer Odunayo Ade will show her womenswear collection, VINTAGE.POP.PRINT during New York Fashion Week.
- New York, NY (1888PressRelease) August 30, 2012 - VINTAGE POP PRINT is the newest collection to come from OYATO Designs. A boutique label brought to you by Nigerian-American designer, Odunayo Ade. This Spring/Summer collection is set to debut during one of New York City's most fashionable events, New York Fashion Week. Guests will gather in the heart of NYC's historical garment district to view the exhibition-style showcase where models will act as mannequins on display clothed in OYATO. This will ultimately be the formal introduction of OYATO to the ever growing world of fashion.
Odunayo Ade, a recent graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and a former intern at Tracy Reese, has a passion for designing garments for women that are clearly feminine yet bold emphasized through her use of West African textiles. She believes, "there's a great beauty in the female form that should always be celebrated though clothing."
She has been somewhat of an underground talent honing her craft for the past five years, when she received her fashion design degree. OYATO has since then been featured in fashion shows across the country, online and printed magazines like EXUDE Magazine and African Weddings Magazine, several blogs and has had the privilege of dressing top model alum, Aminat Ayinde of America's Next Top Model along with some of West Africa's biggest celebrities such as Juliet Ibrahim, WAJE, Tonto Dikeh and Uche Jombo subsequently growing in popularity especially within the African community in the US and abroad.
