Designer Elie Kuame Presents Fall/Winter 2013 Collection during New York Fashion Week
Parisian Designer's Fashion Week Presentation Produced by Industry Leader MVC Management Productions.
- (1888PressRelease) February 26, 2013 - MVC Management Productions was honored to produce the presentation of Parisian designer Elie Kuame's Fall/Winter 2013 collection on February 11th at 404 NYC. The night began with a cocktail hour at 7 p.m. and the models took the runway at 8:30. Elie Kuame's collection featured crisp whites, bright yellows, red and teal blue-green. Sheer blouses and dresses, long flowing skirts, and high slits are staples that were featured in this fall line. The models wore dual colored stilettos and had messy, funky up-dos to complement Kuame's designs. The runway was set up in a horseshoe shape on the main floor. Elie Kuame closed out the show by walking the runway, two models in his final two looks strutting close behind. Immediately after the show MVC owner Tai Chunn presented an award to his mother Cynthia Chunn for all of her dedication and support of the MVC Foundation, created in honor of his sister, Monique Vanessa Chunn.
He also presented a scholarship to college student Noelani Browne who is studying neurology, but, unfortunately, was unable to attend the event.
"Our team was extremely pleased at the turn out of this presentation," begins MC Management Productions CEO and founder, Tai Chunn. "Elie Kuame is a gifted and talented designer that I was very excited to work with. The collection, venue, and event all flowed beautifully. I was also very grateful to be able to pay homage to my sister, Monique Vanessa Chunn, who was always an inspiration to me."
Guests were treated to two open bars with drinks sponsored by Barefoot Wine & Bubbly and music by DJ Boogie. A red carpet with sponsor backdrop was set up in the VIP section on the second floor for press and guests to take pictures of the models, Elie Kuame, and Tai Chunn. Lamik Beauty and Soft Sheen Carson were responsible for the hair and makeup backstage, and Aldo supplied the shoes for the show. Elie Kuame's much anticipated show was a huge success and was extremely well received with a standing ovation as he walked the runway. It was an exciting night for all who attended and a proud moment for Tai Chunn and the entire team of MVC Management Productions. With four years of technical artistry, Elie Kuame worked as an assistant for a wedding House Couture in Paris. Continuing to work hard, Kuame entered into a competition for young designers, and among winning the competition he was soon sponsored by Hermés, Drim (Diversity in Republican Movement), Chamber of Commerce and the Industry of Paris. With these sponsorships, Elie Kuame was able to put together a collection of 23 pieces entitled "Women of Power," symbolizing femininity and the growth of his era.
