Demir Demirkan releases Glass - Original Soundtrack
Glass – Original Soundtrack is a musical interpretation of glass from its birth as a molten object to a unique piece of glass in the glass artist’s hand.
- (1888PressRelease) June 23, 2017 - Demir Demirkan is at it again – known as a “shape-shifter” in defining musical genres in his native Turkey and around the world, Demirkan recently made his film directing debut with “Glass” and the soundtrack of the same name will be released on May 12, 2017 and is available for pre-orders on iTunes now.
Demirkan’s musical observations of the creations of each piece of glass are through the glass artist's inner world, and then move through the glass artist’s technique to arrive at the art piece itself.

Demir Demirkan is an award-winning singer/songwriter, guitar player, producer and film composer. His incredible success as the lead guitarist and songwriter of the first Turkish hard-rock and heavy metal band Pentagram (a.k.a. Mezar Kabul) in the early '90s, garnered him enough popularity in Turkey to be heralded as a pioneer of the genre. Demirkan went on to songwriting, arranging, producing and playing guitar, for other major singers and bands in Turkey including, but not limited to Sertab Erener, Sebnem Ferah, Sezen Aksu and Model. These works represented a turning point for the Turkish market while redefining “Turkish rock music” fueling a stylistic revolution and advancing the nation’s popular music scene past decades of traditional folk. Additionally, Demirkan wrote and composed the hit song "Every Way That I Can" which won him the prestigious Eurovision song contest in 2003 as a songwriter. It was Turkey’s first win ever. Most recently Demir Demirkan was producer, songwriter and guitarist for Painted on Water – world music venture resulting in an album, EPK and single release, several tours of the United States, radio-play on over 350 stations nationwide and over 20 television appearances in the US.
