Delta Dallas' Kim Follis shares Leadership Insights with 2017 LEAD YP Class
Kim Follis, CPC, CTS, and Vice President of Delta Dallas was one of the panelists who shared their insights on 'how to become effective leaders,' with the 2017 LEAD YP class.

The event was also graced by panelists Ryan Suchala, Dallas Market President for Bank of Texas, and Jason Freeman, J.D., Managing Member of Freeman Law. They too shared their life events stressing on the mistakes they made and the fact that there are no quick ways to becoming an effective leader. The aim of the meet was to motivate young professionals and help them understand the qualities required to succeed as effective leaders. The meet also aimed at helping budding leaders identify challenges they may encounter on their road to leadership, and strategies to counter them.
The Dallas Regional Chamber conducts such meets at regular intervals and invites business leaders from the community who site real life examples to contribute towards helping young professionals chart a rewarding career path. The LEAD YP Program is managed by the Dallas Regional Chamber. The program focuses on leadership education and aims to prepare future leaders. Only DRC YP members can apply to the program. While selecting a candidate to attend the program, the panel members consider various factors such as the applicant's willingness to learn, and their track record. Once selected, the member is paired with a mentor who guides them throughout their career. Participants must also commit to attend all events hosted by the body.
