Delcam training for German machine tool/cutting tool partners
Delcam has organised a special training programme for several of its German machine tool partners, including DMG, Exeron, Hermle and Roders, together with cutting tool manufacturers Aura Frastechnik and OPS, at the Delcam GmbH offices in Obertshausen.
- (1888PressRelease) June 22, 2012 - The training covered the latest developments in both the PowerSHAPE design software and the PowerMILL CAM system for high-speed and five-axis machining. Particular attention was given to Delcam’s new Vortex high-speed area clearance strategy and to the integrated solution for the design, manufacture and inspection of electrodes.
"This event provided a great opportunity to update some of our main technical partners on the latest developments in our software,” said Mark Forth, Advanced Manufacturing Product Manager at Delcam. "We employ the largest development team in the CAM industry so we need regular meetings with our partners to make them aware of our latest innovations.”
"At the same time, we need to hear about any forthcoming innovations from our machine-tool and cutting-tool partners so that we can make the necessary changes to our software,” added Mr. Forth. "A close relationship with other suppliers is essential for us to continue the progress in our software and so help our customers take maximum advantage of new technology. With machines of all types becoming more sophisticated and complex, close relationships are also important in the development of post-processors to ensure a smooth transfer of CAM programs to any new machines.”
