The event agenda will feature Ambassador Philip Griffiths, Head of Secretariat at Wassenaar Arrangement. The presentation will highlight developments over 2015-2016, recent control changes, and looking ahead.
Speaker on Day One of the event Wendy Gilmour, Director General of the Trade Controls Bureau at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada, will discuss Recent Developments in Canada's Export Controls Regime. Highlights from the presentation include an overview of changes stemming from the change of government in autumn 2015, with a mandate for Canada to accede to the Arms Trade Treaty.
The event will also feature Corinne Lagache, Senior VP, Group Compliance Officer on Sanfran's Export Compliance Programme. Corrine will discuss the Export Compliance Program and Organisation, the impact of the European reform and the US ECR on the Safran's Export Compliance Programme.
The event programme will include speaker Bill Wade, VP of International Licensing & Compliance at L-3 Communications Corporation. Mr. Wade will discuss Corporate Empowered Officials and Cyber Technology and understanding where trade compliance and cyber technology intersect inside a corporation. The presentation will highlight the intersection of Corporate IT Policy with Export Policy, understanding the USML perspective on cyber technology, and knowing end use/end users.
Defence Exports 2016 will provide crucial ITAR, ECR, EAR and OFAC updates as well as changes to national European export controls from long-standing EU members, recent members as well as non-EU national updates.
