According to Kathryn Barger, the Chair of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, there are “eight hundred and ninety thousand film and entertainment employees, many of whom may not be working.” State-ordered shutdowns have left stages, theaters, and entertainment venues empty throughout California.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA) has made it its mission to creatively keep dancers working during this unprecedented time. The launch of the DADA Virtual Dance World has moved the dance floor online. DADA’s upcoming Summer Intensive programs and open classes will allow dancers to continue to work virtually and keep the world moving. In a recent interview Debbie Allen said, “This is a time where I feel the universe is speaking to our global community, and reminding us all that we’re on this planet Earth together. I know one of the greatest places to come together is on the dance floor.”

The DADA Virtual Dance World is offering a new series of On-Demand dance and movement classes to everyone around the world. These virtual classes are tailored for adults and children of all skill levels in a variety of techniques including Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, African, Pilates, Zumba and more.

Additionally, DADA is launching virtual Summer Intensive programming, allowing dance students ages 4 and up to train from home with top professionals at fractional prices.
