Deadlines Soon: American Psychological Association Annual Convention
The American Psychological Association, a national organization advancing psychology to benefit society and improve people’s lives, has announced the deadlines for convention proposals for their 2018 Annual Convention.
- (1888PressRelease) October 17, 2017 - Claremont, California: The 2018 APA Convention will be held in San Francisco, California, August 9-12. The APA held their previous convention in Washington, D.C. and will move to Chicago, Illinois the following year in 2019.
The American Psychological Association was founded in 1892 with 31 members and now boasts more than 115,700 members across 54 divisions in subfields of psychology such as child psychology cognitive psychology, forensic neuropsychology, comparative psychology, counseling psychology, environmental psychology, gero-psychology, media psychology, and many more.
Each year the APA Annual Convention features programming of interest to psychological scientists and graduate students. The deadlines to submit applications for consideration are quickly approaching:
● Collaborative Programs: Friday, Oct. 13, 2017, 5 p.m. ET.
● CE Workshop Proposals: Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, 5 p.m. ET.
● Division Proposals: Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, 5 p.m. ET.
● Film Festival: Friday, Dec. 1 through Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, 5 p.m. ET.
● Associated Psychological Organization Requests: Monday, Jan. 22, 2018.
