(1888PressRelease) February 09, 2012 - Dead Horse Point State Park is a remarkable recreation area preserved by the Utah State Parks system. There are stunning views into the fissures and erosion that comprises Canyonlands. The Intrepid Trails are non-motorized loops off of the Visitor Center parking lot to enable an additional 6 or ten mile loop to be walked or mountain biked. Plus Pony Expresso opened in 2011 to sell light breakfast and lunch items as well as drinks and snacks. On top of these newer park features, the administration has developed the ranger programs for 20012 in Dead Horse Point State Park. The dates are as follows:

• March 24 2012 Under a Sheet of Stars 8 PM Visitor Center. Bring a flashlight and a Chair
• April 7 2012 Hiking Beneath the Full Moon 9:30 PM Visitor Center for a 1 mile hike on the Intrepid Loop.
• April 15 2012 Morning Bird Walk 7 AM Visitor Center
• April 21 2012 Under a Blanket of Stars 8:30 PM Visitor Center. Bring a flashlight and a Chair
• May 5 2012 Hike Along the Rim Rock Under a Full Moon 8:30 PM Visitor Center for a 1 mile hike on the Intrepid Loop.
• May 13 2012 Early Morning Bird Walk 6:30 AM Visitor Center May 19 2012 Under a Blanket of Stars 9 PM Visitor Center. Bring a flashlight and a Chair
• June 2 2012 Hike the Rim Rock Under the Full Moon 9 PM Visitor Center for a 1 mile hike on the Intrepid Loop.
