DAWA brand revolutionizes into modern look with social responsibility focus
Tana Netting modernizes its Dawa brand.
- (1888PressRelease) July 02, 2011 - Tana Netting Co. Ltd. unveiled the new logo of its premier brand DAWA along with a new packaging to complement the logo. DAWA's product is one of the top quality long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets developed by Tana Netting in 2004 to meet the public health market's demand for effective vector control. It is one of only a few brands to receive an official World Health Organization Pesticide Evaluation Scheme (WHOPES) recommendation.
To strengthen the brand's image of innovativeness related to the product itself as well as the production process, the logo has been modernized in an effort to capture such essence. Instant brand awareness will be achieved by the uniqueness of the font that is used to compose the word "DAWA." The logo uses only green to stress the brand's green commitment - environmentally and worker friendly production process and minimal waste - to the global community.
DAWA is frequently used in combination with the sub-brand "Plus" which will positioned in a small rectangular box below the word DAWA. Starting today, the new logo will be prominently visible on the new DAWA®PLUS packaging, thoughtfully designed to look pleasant to the eye and compact. Customers can recognize it clearly in a fragment of time. Specially, the new packaging allows customers to see the real product inside from a see-through area in the bottom right corner. The new logo will gradually be rolled out to all of the company's communication expressions with its stakeholders.

DAWA®PLUS, long-lasting insecticidal nets (LNs) are made of 100% polyester yarn and are treated with deltamethrin insecticide, which repels, knocks down and kills mosquitoes, reducing the risk of malaria transmission and ensuring a good night's sleep. The insecticide on DAWA®PLUS remains effective for over 20 washes, offering durable protection. Unlike conventional insecticide treated nets (ITNs), which must be re-treated every four to five washes, DAWA®PLUS requires no re-treatment over the lifetime of the net.
