Charity provides donated bras from plastic surgery patients to women who need them.
- Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, NC (1888PressRelease) September 25, 2012 - Davis Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics in Raleigh announced that it will official kick off its "Surgeons Give Support" program today to provide women in need of gently used bras, donated by its plastic surgery patients who receive breast augmentations. Davis Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics will be collecting bras starting Monday, September 24th through Friday, November 2nd at 2304 Wesvill Court, #360 in Raleigh.
"We are asking our patients and women in the local community to stop by and drop off a gently used bra they no longer wear to help women who do need them," said Gretta Handley, patient care coordinator at Davis Plastic Surgery & Aesthetics. Women who donate a bra will receive a special gift from Davis Plastic Surgery, according to Handley.
Breast Oasis is a 501(c) 3 organization that collects, cleans and distributes new and gently used bras to women in need. Breast Oasis was founded in 2009 by a plastic surgeon in Akron, Ohio following the realization that many of his breast surgery patients were throwing away perfectly good bras following breast surgeries.
