At IBC 2010, DAVID Systems will showcase a next generation tri-media production solution, integrated with Windows Azure for cloud-based content management services and with Microsoft Office 2010 for editorial collaboration.

The new solution offers Radio and TV stations to use cloud-based content storage and content processing services leveraging Windows Azure, Microsoft's cloud computing platform, and integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Office 2010 to support collaboration between journalists and editors.
Today, Radio and TV broadcasters need to reduce their costs and complexity of IT, while maintaining the capability to scale storage and server capacities in line with their business needs. At the same time, tri-media production and multichannel distribution have become key success factors for staying competitive.
DAVID Systems is addressing these needs
• by extending its new tri-media solution into the cloud, deploying broadcast-specific content management services on Microsoft's cloud computing platform, Windows Azure, and
• by integrating its professional audio and video editing tools with Microsoft's familiar business productivity environment, Microsoft Office.

The new DAVID Systems tri-media solution can be integrated with the Microsoft Office System 2010 via the business connectivity services within Microsoft Office 2010. The Microsoft Solution Framework for Editorial Collaboration and Mobile Journalism for Office enables Radio and TV editors and journalists to share story proposals, manage resources, find relevant content, plan event coverage, and schedule outputs through a web-based user interface accessible from both Windows and Mac clients. DAVID Systems also offers the media management and audio/video editing functionality required to support tri-media production and distribution. Using DAVID Systems tools, journalists can ingest, view and edit video content, including voice-over, within a single application environment. As communication is key for creative work, the solution provides for integration with Microsoft Unified Communications, combining e-mail, instant messaging, Voice over IP (VoIP) and video conferencing in a consistent set of communication tools.
