David Rankey, MD, MPH, Named CAL/ACEP Fellow
EMP congratulates David Rankey, MD, MPH, for his nomination as Fellow in California ACEP.
- Cleveland-Lorain-Elyria, OH (1888PressRelease) February 25, 2011 - Dr. David Rankey has joined CAL/ACEP as a Health Policy Fellow. Dr. Rankey has prior experience exploring public health issues by earning a Masters of Health Management and Policy Degree at the University of Michigan, School of Public Health. His fascination with the complexities of our health care system compelled him to move to Sacramento after residency to become involved in health care politics in the capital of California. Dr. Rankey hopes to focus his fellowship on projects that attempt to redefine emergency medicine in the eyes of the American Public. As he puts it, "The ED is perhaps the only safe destination during times of critical medical need. (How we address the current state of health care reform) will affect all of our families in the years to come."
Dr. Rankey earned his Doctorate in Medicine at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his EM Residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine - Las Vegas.
