David "Monsta" Lynch is a Grammy nominated Producer/Artist whose work as a producer and writer has earned him two Grammy nominations, six Dove Awards and two Stellar Awards. Fans are in for a treat!
- (1888PressRelease) June 22, 2011 - "Unleashed" was written, recorded and produced by David Lynch at his MonstaJam Studios and was mastered by Grammy Award Winner Nathan Dantzler in his Los Angeles Studio, The Hitlab. The album includes a variety of MONSTA's talented and accomplished friends, including the exceptional contributions by guitarist David Oswald Cox on "Fightin" "The Fall" and "Left for Dead".
Although existing fans will quickly recognize the signature genre-blending style they have come to know from David's award-winning production career, this project will finally allow a direct glimpse into his innovative artistic abilities. Through the combination of original tracks, melodious vocals and heartfelt lyrics, MONSTA will take you on a high energy, rock-infused journey of struggles and triumphs. This project, will quickly reveal that there is a deeper meaning to almost every song and that you really cannot put the MONSTA in a box. The breadth of his creativity makes it apparent that there is only one solution…it has to be Unleashed.
When asked about the project, MONSTA has said, "My goal is to make a classic type album, not full of faddy sounds or phrases but something you can look back on 10 years from now and say that's good music". With comments from the previews saying that his songs feel like "Foo Fighters meets Linkin Park meets Taio Cruz"; it appears his mission was accomplished.
Following up on this move of exploring his untapped artistic talent, MONSTA has recently begun stepping out from behind the board. With the backing of his band "The Machinez", he has been performing some of the songs from this project throughout his current city of Louisville.
