Dattatreya Thambore's "Sanskars" on IndianArtCollectors

- (1888PressRelease) May 18, 2013 - The artist completed his studies at Abhinav Kala Mahavidyalaya, Pune, going on to complete his Diploma in Art Education course from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai. He is a recipient of various awards included the Maharashtra State Award, Bombay Art Society Award and prize at the South Central Zone, Nagpur.
Dattatraya composes abstract forms as well as realistic images. He deals with the subject of parental love and the dreams and plans they harbour for their child. His canvases lays emphasis on how parents imbibe good manners, values and habits in them along with the all-important values of love, justice, honesty and belief in God.
Inculcating "Sanskars" or the very essence of our rich culture and tradition in the child is very aptly portrayed in the paintings of the artist. "Strong colour symbolism played a pivotal role in my paintings. The parental bond is eternal and that's what my canvases reflect", quips Dattatreya.
