DataCell's Unique ERP Solution 'GlazeWorx' Sees Rapid Uptake in Middle East Glass Industry

Complicated production procedures and optimization of processes meant that existing ERP softwares simply could not meet the specific requirements of the glass industry. Developing a solution for this requires that the software designers or business analysts have specific knowledge of the glass industry itself. And while there are a mere handful of such systems available internationally, they are rarely adopted by regional manufacturers simply because of the prohibitively high costs."
GlazeWorx which has been developed in-house by DataCell, manages the end-to-end cycle of glass manufacturing, including purchase enquiry, estimation, sending of a quotation, purchase and management of stock, managing the product lifecycle, monitoring each step in the production process and invoicing. A unique feature of the system is sheet optimization which optimizes the way in which large sheets of glass are cut, in order to minimize wastage of material thereby reducing cost.
