Boby Joseph, Big Data Practice -Head of DST welcomed the participants and shared DST's vision and roadmap on their Big Data integration and implementation business as well as presented on the solutions and services that DST can offer. Carel Badenhorst, Head Technology Practice - Middle East, Africa, Turkey & Pakistan at SAS had a very interactive session with the audience while he presented on the Big Data life cycle.
"DST was launched recently to be focus on new disruptive technologies such as Big Data Analytics, which is still in the infancy stage in the region. Our objective of holding the Big Data Analytics seminar was to educate customers on the benefits of big data analytics while offering them a complete insight into harnessing their structured and unstructured data and how they could optimize this data to grow their business further. We also wanted to introduce SAS's world-class products in Analytics to our partner community in the UAE. We did not expect such a huge turnout of Systems Integrators, resellers, VARs and IT managers from different verticals, which was more than double our expectations. The feedback we received from the participants was great and we look forward to holding more such events in the coming months," says Boby Joseph.
Technology Experts from SAS gave an overview of their solutions and demonstrated how SAS Visual Analytics with the right tools and services could add value to customers' businesses and existing data. The Big Data Analytics Power lunch was also an opportunity for DST and SAS to meet with customers and partners and understand their business requirements and share how SAS Visual Analytics could address those requirements.
As part of it channel expansion drive, DST is looking to onboard and train more channel partners to enhance their capabilities and address customer requirements appropriately. The company will hold regular trainings, certifications and skills development programs to enable the channel to offer Big Data consultancy and implementation services.
