Daniel Licht Provides Music Behind Abc Drama Body Of Proof
ABC's series Body of Proof, which just completed its second season, stars Dana Delany as a brilliant neurosurgeon turned medical examiner as the result of a devastating car accident. The musical tone of the show is set by award-winning composer Daniel Licht. He is no stranger to scoring to forensic science, as demonstrated in his music for the critically acclaimed series, Dexter.
- Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) November 17, 2011 - Composer Daniel Licht explains, that the score for the drama maintains less of an ironic twist than what he writes for Dexter, "I tend to incorporate sound design as well as melodies into my scores. The music I am writing for Body of Proof is more directly dramatic and emotional. For some of the episodic underscore, I incorporated the piano as my principle instrument but, in combination with the sound of a piano reversed and morphed to create moody washes of sound to convey the emotions on the screen"
Daniel Licht's impressive film and television composing credits include Hellraiser Bloodline, Stephen King's Thinner, Permanent Midnight, Jake in Progess and Kitchen Confidential. He is currently scoring Konami's upcoming videogame, Silent Hill: Downpour. Dan Licht's musical contribution to film and television has earned him several BMI Film & TV music awards.
