Deepak Bhatt, Indian nationality, bought a ring for his wife at the Sharjah Gold Souq last week for AED 2,900 and entered Damas' weekly raffle draw. "My wife and I were fasting for each other one day last week, and I bought her a ring as a surprise gift at the end of the day. I plan to keep the gold bar as an investment for our young daughter, so I will not be thinking of selling it any time soon," Bhatt commented. "I had only 2 coupons among thousands and thousands in the draw, so I can't believe that I won," he added.

Damas is organising two more raffle draws as part of its Diwali celebrations, on October 26th and November 2nd, 2011. For every AED 1,000 spent on purchases in selected Damas outlets, customers will receive a raffle ticket for a 1KG gold bar, drawn weekly for a total of 3 weeks.
