Fort Worth-Arlington, TX (1888PressRelease) March 04, 2011 - April 2nd & 3rd, 2011: The Dallas Derby Devils', DFW's largest and original roller derby league are poised to host their second annual Clover Cup Tournament.

The Clover Cup, held each Spring by the Dallas Derby Devils, is sanctioned as a national roller derby Tournament by the Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) and attracts teams belonging to the South Central region, which includes Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. This year's Clover Cup will feature six teams in a double elimination bracketed tournament, most ranked in the top 20 of the South Central Region rankings. The participating teams are from Texas, the West Texas Roller Dollz, ranked #15; the Dallas Derby Devils' Hell Razors, ranked #8; Houston's HaRD Knocks, ranked #7 and from Austin, the Texecutioners, ranked #2. The Green Country Roller Girls, ranked #11 are coming from Oklahoma and attending from New Mexico, the Duke City Munecas Muertas.

The tournament will be held at NYTEX Sports Centre, located at 8851 Ice House Drive in North Richland Hills. The premier 140,000 square foot facility houses, not only the Dallas Derby Devils during home season bouts, but also ice hockey, indoor soccer and football, five indoor volleyball courts and a full bar and grill. Zuromas Sicilian Kitchen is located inside NYTEX Sports Centre. Zuromas is a long term partner with the Dallas Derby Devils and will continue their tradition of offering Dollar Derby Drafts for the fans during the length of the tournament.

During the Clover Cup, multiple vendors ranging from custom made safety equipment to roller derby fashion will be on hand to sell their wares and increase the awareness of their business to the roller derby community and the general public. Vendors at this year's Clover Cup tournament include GRN MNSTR Roller Sports, Pro-Designed, Inc., Derby Love, and many more.

"The Clover Cup is a unique opportunity for the local derby fans to see what a high level of play is all about in roller derby. During our regular season bouts the fans get to see our home teams which include girls that are committed to their regular lives and put in 2 - 4 practices a week for 6 bouts a year. At the Clover Cup we are going to see girls who train almost every day, 12 months a year for these bouts and play 3 to 5 bouts a weekend sometimes!" says Dallas Announcer, T.R.
