Dallas Derby Devils Clover Cup 2012
The Clover Cup brings together eight teams from several states across the region for a two-day tournament to be held March 24-25, 2012. Four of the teams, led by the 5th ranked Houston Roller Derby All-Stars, are ranked in the top 10 in WFTDA's South Central Region.
- Fort Worth-Arlington, TX (1888PressRelease) February 02, 2012 - The Dallas Derby Devils (www.DerbyDevils.com) are proud to host the third annual Clover Cup Tournament at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, Texas, featuring some of the best roller derby teams in the Women's Flat Track Roller Derby Association's South Central Region.
The Clover Cup brings together eight teams from several states across the region for a two-day tournament to be held March 24-25, 2012. Four of the teams, led by the 5th ranked Houston Roller Derby All-Stars, are ranked in the top 10 in WFTDA's (www.WFTDA.com) South Central Region.
The other teams competing include the Green Country Roller Girls (Tulsa, OK), Tampa Bay Derby Darlins, the Gold Coast Derby Grrls (South Florida), the Omaha Rollergirls, the Jacksonville Rollergirls, the Oklahoma Victory Dolls, and of course, the host Dallas Derby Devils' Army of Darkness.
All eight of these teams have varying degrees of history, and there are bound to be some grudge matches from previous seasons at this year's Clover Cup.
Tickets for Clover Cup are $25 for a one-day pass and $35 for a two-day all access pass. They can be purchased at www.dddclovercup.com. Schedules and match-ups will be announced shortly.
NYTEX Sports Centre, located at 8851 Ice House Drive in North Richland Hills, Texas, can hold as many as 1,500 roller derby fans, and has been the home rink for the Dallas Derby Devils for several years. NYTEX has seen many historic roller derby moments, and Clover Cup 2012 is sure to add to that.
There will also be a Vendor Village at Clover Cup 2012, specifically to cater to derby girls and roller derby fans. Vendors can get more information at the Clover Cup webpage.
