Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) September 18, 2011 - Dallas Derby Devils Announce 2011 Season Championship, Saturday.

The incredibly talented and high-spirited women of North Texas' largest and oldest Flat Track Roller Derby League are pulling out all the stops to bring the DFW Metroplex the best match-up of 2011. On Saturday September 24th the Dallas Derby Devils will present the 2011 Season Championship. This derby season has been full of upsets, surprises, tears of pain, tears of joy and high energy skating.

The first bout of the night finds the 2010 undefeated champion team, the High Seas Hotties squaring off against the Wrecking Crew in a battle for 3rd place. Both teams have fought hard this year and will be bringing everything they have to the track. This one is going to be close and is already shaping up to be one of the hottest match-ups of the season. In the main event, the bout that will crown a new Champion, the undefeated Death Row Rumblers will be standing toe-stop to toe-stop with their sister team, the Slaughterers. These two teams have bonded close this year and this match-up could prove to be an interesting mix of love / hate, fear / respect. In the end, however, it will boil down to hit or be hit. Join the Dallas Derby Devils for the final heart wrenching moments of the 2011 Roller Derby Season as they prove that they are strong, they are athletes and without a doubt, these women are Roller Derby!

The competition will take place at NYTEX Sports Centre (8851 Ice House Road, North Richland Hills). Doors open at 5:30pm and the action will start promptly at 6:00pm. The 2011 season opener hosted 1600 Dallas roller derby fans and has been sold out every game since! Get there early if you want a trackside seat but don't forget to BYOC (bring your own chair) or enjoy the great views from the stadium style seats!

This bout will sell-out, so get your tickets to this PG-13 event in advance for only $12 if purchased from your favorite derby girl at any preceding DDD public event, listed on www.derbydevils.com or $13 on their website through Pay-Pal. If available, tickets at the door will be $15. Kids 10 and under are free if you choose to bring them. Enjoy the ZuRomas $1.00 "derby draft" beers and $1.50 select cans from trackside. Tips help offset the cost of travel and equipment as the Army of Darkness spreads the word of how Dallas does Derby.

When not at practice, the Devils continue the business of promoting and growing the league across North Texas. Clearly, DDD discovered a formula for success and are becoming stronger every season, heading into their seventh year of existence. The league is the largest of its kind in the North Texas area boasting the largest roster of active skaters, over 125 at last count. Volunteers are welcome. Security, production help, track maintenance, and merchandisers are a just few of the open positions. The league's sponsorship drive remains underway to defray the league's operating costs. Sponsors get bragging rights about being part of the derby revival at a ground level as they help the Dallas Derby Devils support worthy causes; a portion of all proceeds are donated to local charities.
