Mr. Munck, managing partner of the Dallas-based firm and chairman of the firm's Intellectual Property Section, is highlighted in the intellectual property litigation category. Mr. Munck's national practice focuses on guiding clients in the domestic and foreign procurement, management and enforcement of patent rights, as well as defense against third-party intellectual property claims and intellectual property issues related to mergers & acquisitions, licensing matters, and public and private financings.
Mr. Munck earned his law degree from Hofstra University School of Law. Additionally, he holds a master's degree in systems architecture and network communications and undergraduate degrees in computer science, electrical engineering and mathematics from Hofstra University. Mr. Munck has been named repeatedly to top lawyer lists by Chambers USA, Texas Super Lawyers® (both by Texas Monthly and nationally by Corporate Counsel magazines), D Magazine and Lawdragon. Mr. Carter represents plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation, including patent, trade secret and unfair competition, election and voting rights, products liability, First Amendment, labor and employment, and toxic tort cases. He has tried more than 50 civil and criminal cases to a jury. He is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers and an advocate in the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Carter has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Texas at Arlington and Southern Methodist University's Dedman School of Law. He is a repeat honoree in The Best Lawyers in America, as well as the Texas Super Lawyers® list of top attorneys in Texas. The Dallas Business Journal has named him one of the top business defense attorneys in Dallas/Fort Worth, while Lawdragon included him among its "500 Leading Lawyers in America."
