Daler Mehndi joins hands with Radio Mantra to educate fans about AIDS
Supporting World AIDS day, King of Bhangra Daler Mehndi joined hands with Radio Mantra in educating people about AIDS. Mehndi spent the day educating the listeners and fans about the myths and truths associated with AIDS.

Supporting 'Zero discrimination' and 'Getting to Zero' - the official theme for World AIDS Day 2011, Mehndi quoted, "It is time for all of us to come together and act! Discussing about HIV and AIDS has been such a taboo in society, but the key to the prevention of HIV AIDS not only depends on the treatment and care but equally on spreading awareness. Let us all come together, raise awareness about HIV and help put an end to HIV stigma and discrimination.
Discrimination is a human rights violation, and to tackle HIV, we need to focus not only on safe practices but also on eliminating prejudice against those living with HIV. Show your solidarity towards them. Do not shun them. Be compassionate and love all!"
On World AIDS Day, Singer composer Daler Mehndi advocates all to unite in the fight against HIV. Mehndi, who has been involved with various philanthropist and humanitarian causes, in his continued efforts to nurture human values in the world has also launched an organization 'Human First'. The organization aims to reflect upon a peaceful way to live and co exist, and embarks on a journey towards "One man - One World - One Mankind". Following the path shown by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Mehndi too believe "Manas Ki Jaat Sabhey Ekey Pehchanbo", and desires to spread harmony and the message of equality and non discrimination amongst all at all levels.
Talking about 'Human First', Mehndi stated "Life is a stage created by that 'Higher Power' and we all are here to play our roles to the best of our capacity, to gain an experience for which we all have come for. We are all the children of God and privileged with a miraculous gift called LIFE. Let's make the most of it and make it worthy. The one who loves everyone and everything is always in love.
