- (1888PressRelease) January 20, 2015 - ANAHEIM, CA - On December 19, 2014, Cyma Orchids, a local family owned and operated grower, wholesaler and distributor of high quality orchids, donated over 35 fresh orchids to Brea City Leaders. The orchids were presented to City School Board Members, City Staffing Officials and newly elected Brea City Council Members at a special luncheon that was held to honor the City Officials.
Ken Chung, Owner of Cyma Orchids and native of Korea, felt that donating the orchids to Brea City Officials would be a good way to show support for and honor the interests and successes of the cultural exchange program of the Brea Korea Sister City Association of the City of Brea. The City of Brea is the official Sister City to the Cities of Anseong, South Korea, Hanno, Japan and Lagos de Moreno, Mexico.
"Orchids are symbols of love, life, peace, strength, growth and honor, and as such, we wanted to offer the significant gift of a beautiful, elegant and luxurious fresh orchid plant to show our appreciation of the dedicated, loyal, unfaltering and passionate hard work and service by the Brea City Leaders throughout 2014, and to welcome the newly elected Brea City Officials," said Mr. Chung. "By presenting them with one of our prized, high quality orchids, we hope it will bring them much cheer, peace, delight and enjoyment for a long time to come."
Each Brea City Leader was presented with a beautiful 2" Phalaenopsis orchid plant in an artfully crafted, color coordinated ceramic pot.
