- Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) January 06, 2015 - CyberVision is proud to announce a new release of our open-source platform for Internet of Things - Kaa 0.6.2!
This release was to a great extent dedicated to C SDK enhancements. Its memory footprint was significantly reduced (by 40-50%) after optimization of the platform-level protocol and in-depth refactoring. As a result, Kaa is now able to support a broad range of devices with limited hardware characteristics. Moreover, the feature set of C SDK evolved considerably too due to several new upgrades, among which improved C SDK modularization, normalized logging and error handling, and refactored Avro C code generator.
On the server side, the most prominent new implementations include added support of the Generic Flume event format in the Flume log appender and many-to-many relationship between a log appender and a log schema version. The web UI now allows users to restore forgotten passwords, configure mail settings, and automatically save the current work in case of the session expiry.
The Kaa's Design reference was substantially revised, as well as the Installation guide, and Sandbox guide to make them as clear and straightforward as possible. In addition, a new Development environment setup guide was introduced.
Also, Kaa's team has identified and resolved a number of bugs. The full list of new features and bug fixes can be found at the "What's new" page on the site.
