CyberAlert Launches Blog On Media Monitoring and Measurement
CyberAlert announces corporate blog.
- (1888PressRelease) July 16, 2010 - Stratford, CT - CyberAlert, Inc., the online media monitoring company for editorial content in news and social media, has launched its corporate blog this week. The blog focuses on media monitoring and measurement and intersecting topics such as social media, media relations, marketing and market intelligence.
The Company has implemented the new CyberAlert blog to share worthwhile ideas, insights and best practices with CyberAlert clients and all PR and marketing professionals.
The first blog post, written by Bill Comcowich, President and CEO, is a 1,600+ word article entitled: Media Monitoring: What It Is. How It Evolved. How It's Done Now. The article includes a new formal definition of media monitoring, a short history of media monitoring and a description of best practices used today by media monitoring services to monitor both news and social media online.
"We chose that topic because we couldn't find an adequate definition or description of media monitoring anywhere else, even in Wikipedia where the write-up for "media monitoring service" is, well, dreadful," Mr. Comcowich stated. He expressed the hope that the recently released blog post would contribute to the fundamental understanding of press clipping, news monitoring, broadcast monitoring, and social media monitoring. The article can be used as a tool by PR professionals to educate clients and/or executives on cost-efficient methodologies of monitoring news and social media.
Like most blogs, the new CyberAlert blog enables and encourages comments from readers. CyberAlert also expects to publish articles by guest bloggers.
All posts to the CyberAlert blog may be republished in whole or in part with proper attribution.
